Lent 2023, Day 33: Did a Pagan Goddess inspire Easter?

I know you’ve heard it before: true Christians don’t celebrate Easter because of its pagan roots. The Simpsons even had an episode in which Groundskeeper Willie wreaked havoc on Springfield’s Easter Parade because “his hatred of the Easter holiday (as he is a Scottish Old Believer Presbyterian).” Sidebar, but man, those writers really are a font of knowledge, huh?
