Lent 2020, Day 19: Thanks.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

I Thessalonians 5:18

This morning, I walked into the living room, and upon catching sight of an Oriental lily in a vase said, “Thank you. It’s beautiful, like a natural firework. Thank you, God.” Zoe looked at me and then asked what was on tap for breakfast.

In the midst of the current climate of anxiety, I figured it’s high time to start counting some blessings. Here’s a few:

The aforementioned lily.

Hi Cousin! Oh thank you so much! You’re too sweet! I pray often that I’m being a good mom- it’s truly been one of the best roles of my life. Zoe is quite pleased that you congratulated her; thank you!

I’m grateful for the many years that were blessed with never having to worry about a pandemic and its aftermath. God has always been good to us and even in the midst of all of this He is still good. <3
